Skopje, 28 December 2021 (MIA) – The second boiler of thermal power plant (TEC) Negotino and the third bloc of mining-energy company (REK) Bitola will be operational in January 2022, said Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM) director Vasko Kovachevski on Tuesday. Kovachevski said the maximum use of all energy capacities would ensure supply for the heating season and no electricity restrictions. He paid a visit to TEC Negotino, which is currently operating with half-capacity, namely using one boiler during a period of adaptation and stabilization of the system after a multi-year standstill. TEC Negotino director Nebojsha Stojanovikj said the thermal plant has been operating for ten days and no problems are expected in the coming period.
