SEC releases initial results of repeated voting in seven polling stations

Skopje, 22 May 2024 (MIA) — The State Election Commission has published the initial results of the parliamentary election revote in seven polling stations, which all closed at 7 pm.


According to the SEC website, at polling station 1194 in Krushevo, 337 out of 469 voterd voted, three ballots were invalid, and the turnout was 71.86 percent. The most votes, 290 (86 percent), were won by Your Macedonia coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE. SDSM's coalition For a European Future won 44 votes (13.06 percent), and Levica won one vote.


At polling station 1202 in Krushevo, 111 out of 298 voters voted (37.25 percent), and there were no invalid ballots. The most votes, 91 (81.98 percent) were won by DUI's European Front coalition, 13 votes (11.71 percent) went to VMRO-DPMNE's Your Macedonia and seven votes or 6.31 percent of the votes went to SDSM's European Future.


At polling station 1272 in Ohrid, 373 out of 711 voters (52.46 percent) voted, and eight ballots were invalid. A total of 303 votes (81.23 percent) were won by VMRO-DPMNE's Your Macedonia, 27 votes (7.24 percent) by SDSM's coalition For a European Future; 12 votes (3.22 percent) by DUI's European Front; 11 votes (2.95 percent) by Levica; 11 votes (2.95 percent) by ZNAM; and the Worth It coalition won one vote (0.27 percent).


At polling station 1844 in Struga, out of 753 voters, 483 (64.14 percent) voted, and there were ten invalid ballots. The most votes, 366 (75.78 percent) were received by VMRO-DPMNE's Your Macedonia; 46 votes (9.52 percent) by DUI's European Front; SDSM's coalition For a European Future won 41 votes (8.49 percent); Levica won 11 votes (2.28 percent); Worth It won four votes (0.83 percent); ZNAM won two votes; and United Macedonia and the Workers' Party won one vote each.


At polling station 1470 in Dolneni, out of 658 voters, 383 voted (58.21 percent), and there were seven invalid ballots. DUI's European Front won the most votes, 234 (61.10 percent), VMRO-DPMNE's Your Macedonia won 80 votes (20.89 percent), Worth It got 53 votes (13.84 percent), SDSM's coalition For a European Future won eight votes (2.09 percent) and GROM's Brave for Macedonia coalition won one vote.


At polling station 1470/1 in Dolneni, out of 632 voters, 350 voted (55.38 percent), and one ballot was invalid. DUI's European Front won the most votes, 255 (72.86 percent). VMRO-DPMNE's Your Macedonia won 82 votes (23.43 percent), Worth It won seven votes (two percent), SDSM's coalition for a European Future won two votes (0.57 percent), ZNAM won two votes, and Edinstvena Makedonija won one vote.


The results for polling station 2101 in Zhelino have not been announced yet.


On May 18, the SEC adopted the proposal to repeat the vote in the Fifth Electoral District at polling stations 1470/1 and 1470 in Dolneni, 1194 and 1202 in Krushevo, 1844 in Struga and 1272 in Ohrid as well as in the Sixth Electoral District at polling station 2101 in Zhelino. mr/
