SEC preliminary results: SIljanovska-Davkova - 64.3 percent, Pendarovski - 29.57 percent
- Preliminary results of the presidential runoff that the State Election Commission (SEC) is releasing at its website show that VMRO-DPMNE candidate Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is leading with 361,279 votes or 64.3 percent, while SDSM-backed Stevo Pendarovski has garnered 166,120 votes or 29.57 percent, with about 70 percent of ballots counted.

Skopje, 8 May 2024 (MIA) - Preliminary results of the presidential runoff that the State Election Commission (SEC) is releasing at its website show that VMRO-DPMNE candidate Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is leading with 361,279 votes or 64.3 percent, while SDSM-backed Stevo Pendarovski has garnered 166,120 votes or 29.57 percent, with about 70 percent of ballots counted.
A candidate is elected president if he/she receives the majority of at least 40 percent of registered votes, namely 362,864 out of the 725,727 votes, as stipulated in the Electoral Code.
SEC will release the voting results successively, as it receives them from the polling stations.
