SEC adopts conclusion on final results of first round of presidential elections

Skopje, 2 May 2024 (MIA) – The State Election Commission (SEC) at its session on Thursday adopted a conclusion on the final results of the first round of the presidential elections. 

According to the conclusion, a total of 1,814,317 citizens were eligible to vote in the elections held on April 24, 2024, and a total of 905,622 voters cast their vote. Valid ballots amounted to 881,040, with 24,560 invalid ballots.

The final results from the State Election Commission show that presidential candidate Stevo Pendarovski won 180,499 votes, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova won 363,085 votes, Stevcho Jakimovski has 8,121 votes, Bujar Osmani 120,811 votes, Biljana Vankovska 41,331 votes, Arben Taravari 83,337 votes and Maksim Dimitrievski won 83,855 votes. 

Stevo Pendarovski and Gordana Siljanovska Davkova advance to the second round of the presidential elections set to take place on May 8.

In addition, the SEC has received accreditation applications for the upcoming presidential runoff from 52 domestic observers, 11 international and five foreign reporters, which have also submitted applications for the parliamentary elections, SEC members told Thursday's session.
