SEC: 1,303 domestic and 860 foreign observers to monitor double elections

Skopje, 7 May 2024 (MIA) - The presidential runoff and the parliamentary elections will be monitored by 1,303 domestic and 860 foreign observers, along with 83 foreign journalists, said State Election Commission (SEC) member Boban Stojanoski on Tuesday.

Stojanoski said citizens can vote in person at polling stations across the country.

"The electoral board must ask the voter if he/she will vote at both elections or one of them, either the presidential or the parliamentary. A person can exercise the right to vote in the polling station only once. In order to vote at the presidential elections, a person must hold a valid ID or passport, or an ID or passport that expired between 24 July 2023 and 24 April 2024. For the parliamentary elections, a person must hold a valid ID or passport, or an ID or passport that expired between 8 August 2023 and 8 May 2024," said Stojanoski.
