Skopje, 16 December 2025 (MIA) — SDSM's central board has elected Jovana Trenchevska and Aleksandar Trajanovski party vice presidents, SDSM leader Venko Filipche told a press conference late Tuesday evening. 

Aleksandar Dimitrijevikj remains the party's general secretary and Ljupcho Farmakovski is its organizational secretary. The party also elected its new executive board members as well as an advisory council to be led by former SDSM vice president Ana Chupevska.

The new executive board comprises members young and old, Filipche said, with the older ones expected to share their knowledge and experience with the younger ones.

"This is a team that is entering into a brave and resolute fight with this elitist, criminal and corrupt government of VMRO-DPMNE, ZNAM and VLEN," the SDSM president said.

He also said the opposition party "will put an end to the politics of isolating the state from Europe and will put an end to corruption and crime as well as to the treason of our country through the 'migrants for money' project."

The party's new executive board, among others, includes Andrej Zhernovski, Simona Cvetanovski, Renata Mladenovska, Dejan Nikolovski, Jon Frchkoski, Natasha Poposka and Petar Ognjenovikj. According to Fipilche's earlier statements, Fani Karanfilovska Panovska remains vice president until her resignation is confirmed at the party's congress. mr/
