SCPC to monitor appointments of acting directors in state institutions, ready to act against irregularities

Skopje, 6 July 2024 (MIA) - The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) has announced that it is closely monitoring the process of appointing acting directors in several state institutions. The SCPC will review each case individually to determine whether these appointments comply with legal regulations and are both planned and permissible under the law, according to the SCPC’s press release.

“If it is determined that the appointments are in violation of legal regulations, the SCPC will take appropriate measures and initiate procedures on its own initiative. The Commission is committed to ensuring legality and transparency in the appointment and designation processes within state institutions,” reads the press release.

It has emphasized that the purpose of the current reviews is to ensure that all appointments are made in accordance with existing laws and to prevent any misuse of positions for personal or political gain.

"The SCPC will continue its monitoring efforts and contribute to maintaining the integrity and trust in public sector institutions,” reads the press release.
