Skopje, 20 May 2024 (MIA) - The re-voting at the seven polling stations in the fifth and sixth election districts will take place on Wednesday, May 22. The decision for the re-voting was made by the State Election Commission (SEC) after the Administrative Court dismissed all seven lawsuits filed by the European Front coalition against the decisions of the SEC.
Due to the decision of the Administrative Court and the SEC, DUI accused that electoral engineering is being conducted aimed at taking away two parliamentary seats won by the party.
At its 105th session, the SEC unanimously adopted the motion to repeat the voting in fifth election district at polling stations 1470/1 and 1470 in the municipality of Dolneni, 1194 and 1202 in the municipality of Krushevo, 1844 in the municipality of Struga, and 1272 in the municipality of Ohrid, as well as in the sixth election district at polling station 2101 in the municipality of Zhelino.
The campaign for the revote will last until midnight on Monday.
