Revised list on gov’t no-confidence vote sent to Parliament

Revised list on gov’t no-confidence vote sent to Parliament
Skopje, 10 November 2021 (MIA) – A new, revised list of signatures involving a no-confidence vote against the government has been sent to Parliament earlier today. The new list has been sent to the Parliament’s archive office, VMRO-DPMNE sources say adding the signatures of several lawmakers have been removed after being included in the original list due to tactical reasons. The party says it expects Parliament to hold a no-confidence vote at a session tomorrow. It hasn’t been revealed officially whose signatures have been removed. Citing party sources, some media report that two Levica lawmakers have removed their signatures. Earlier this week, Alternativa MP Skender Rexhepi demanded Levica MPs Dimitar Apasiev and Boris Krmov withdraw their signatures in order his signature to remain in the list as part of an initiative for no-confidence vote against the government. On Monday, VMRO-DPMNE filed a no-confidence motion against Zoran Zaev’s government, which included signatures of 61 MPs, including lawmakers from VMRO-DPMNE, Alliance for Albanians, Alternativa, Besa and Levica. The motion was filed because PM Zaev didn’t tender his resignation despite announcing his decision after the October local elections.
