"Rethinking Management" project kicks off

Skopje, 12 April 2023 (MIA) - The title of the new project managed by the Center for Change Management is "Rethinking Management", which aims to increase the citizens' trust in institutions through improvement of their transparency and accountability by focusing on results.

The project will unfold in cooperation with the Cabinet of the Deputy PM in charge of Good Governance Policies Slavica Grkovska and the Government General Secretariat, backed by the UK Government.

Deputy PM Grkovska said that the project should contribute to finding the most effective way to follow policy implementation, the implementation of the merit system, success indicators etc. because there are individual examples, but not a global policy of establishing indicators that will point out where we are with program implementation.

“I am looking forward to this project because it is the essence of implementation of good governance policies, having in mind the experiences of the British Embassy and the Change Management Center. I am sure we will find the best solution for us,” Grkovska said.

Center for Change Management’s Executive Director, Neda Maleska Sachmaroska said that the project will support the state towards fulfilling the priorities coming from the process of European integration, especially in good management and public admin reforms.

“Experts from the PM’s Cabinet will share their experiences about the ways that the British administration focuses more on delivering results throughout a central coordinative body within the Government,” Maleska Sachmaroska said.

She expects better results from this project in a way that will make institutions and those who manage them be more responsible, not just for the work they’ve done, but for the results as well, in agreement with the Government’s strategic priorities, because it’s important to the citizens that certain political promises be fulfilled and for us to progress in this field. dk/sk/
