Skopje, 28 March 2025 (MIA) - The Red Cross said Friday that funds have been transferred to the families of the Kochani nightclub victims and patients treated abroad, noting that the amount collected at its account now stands at Mden 102.4 million (EUR 1.66 million).
We are currently collecting data on the injured who are hospitalized in the country and payments will be made once we get the lists, hopefully at the beginning of next week. Afterward, we will work on alignment of the criteria for payment of the remaining funds to the victims, said the Red Cross.
It adds that over 100 psychologists have been working with the affected population, and support has been provided on the daily basis to affected students and teachers, firefighters and police.
Together with its partners, the Red Cross will continue to provide support to the families of the injured in the process of their return to everyday life, through various activities.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Chamber of Psychologists of Macedonia, the Red Cross will also carry out activities for education of pupils, teachers and school staff in managing stressful situations, timely identification and mitigation of vulnerabilities caused by emergencies, as well as managing the impact on mental health.
