Skopje, 17 December 2023 (MIA) - Red Cross staff wearing superhero, cartoon characters and Santa Claus costumes brought smiles to kids at the Children's Hospital in Skopje on Sunday, as part of a traditional event. 

Cinderella, the Bear, Spiderman and Batman were among those who greeted the patients.

Head of the Clinic, Stojka Naceva Fushtikj, said that 80 children are currently hospitalized for treatment. 

She told reporters that the Red Cross event never fails to light up their faces. 

Argjend Chiljafi, coordinator of the Disaster Response Team at the Red Cross of the City of Skopje, noted that this is the sixth time they are organizing the event with the participation of the Mountain Rescue Team, supported by "Animation Bambino".  

"The event is organized on a volunteer basis," said Chiljafi, expressing hope that other organizations will join in to cheer up as many kids as possible. 

Kids at the Children's Clinic in Skopje also got New Year's presents from Santa Claus.
