Ohrid, 7 October 2021 (MIA) — The rain that has been falling heavily overnight into Thursday is expected to help improve the unfavorable hydrological situation in the Ohrid region, according to MIA’s Ohrid correspondent. The water level of Lake Ohrid in the past year has been constantly below its average, dropping at times even below its natural minimum. According to the latest measurements by the Hydrometeorological Service, the level of the lake yesterday was 15 centimeters below its October average for October and only three centimeters above its minimum level. The lake water temperature yesterday was 18 degrees Celsius, which is close to its average temperature for this time of year, i.e., one degree higher than its October average. mr/
