Public Security Bureau delegation led by Janev attends IACP conference in Boston
- A Macedonian delegation led by Public Security Bureau head Aleksandar Janev, accompanied by U.S. Embassy Department of Justice Law Enforcement Assistance Attache Michael McKee, is taking part in the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference and Exposition held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Skopje, 20 October 2024 (MIA) -- A Macedonian delegation led by Public Security Bureau head Aleksandar Janev, accompanied by U.S. Embassy Department of Justice Law Enforcement Assistance Attache Michael McKee, is taking part in the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference and Exposition held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
The IACP conference is the largest and most impactful law enforcement event of the year, with more than 16,000 public safety professionals attending to learn new techniques, advance their knowledge and careers, and equip their department for ongoing success.
"This approach to cooperation is significant for improving security practices, exchanging experiences and police capacity-building. By learning about the specific issues and challenges US police are dealing with, together with other international police forces, participants will have an insight into the methodology for tackling these issues," the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
At the sidelines of the conference, the Macedonian delegation will attend other events and meet with top representatives of law enforcement agencies, the release said. mr/
