Skopje, 25 July 2024 (MIA) – A Skopje public prosecutor has sent a notification informing that the investigation into Ljupco Palevski, the prime suspect for the double kidnapping and brutal murder of Vanja Gjorchevska, 14, and Panche Zhezhovski, 74, has been completed, the Public Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday.
After the 15-day legal deadline ends allowing the defense to look into the evidence, the Skopje Public Prosecutor’s Office will propose merging of the trials of all defendants for the double murder.
“After the deadline ends and an indictment is filed, a public prosecutor will propose merging of the court proceedings against the five defendants because there are legal grounds in the law on criminal proceedings,” the Public Prosecution Office said adding it will also request that the hearing on July 30 against four defendants be postponed to allow for the proceedings to be unified.
The prosecution also informed that the investigation into another man suspected for aiding in committing the crime has been completed. He will be tried in a separate trial.
