Skopje, 10 December 2024 (MIA) - I am proud of the Army, an institution most trusted by citizens, which is a proof of its credibility and dignity not only at home but also abroad, said President and Commander-in-Chief Gordana Siljanovska Davkova after a briefing regarding the Army combat readiness on Tuesday.

President Siljanovska Davkova said the report was thorough, rich with data and facts, and based on evidence.

"The strategy is clear, cooperation with the Chief of Staff and the General Staff is exceptional. There is room for changes and reforms, but from what I heard today, I have full confidence in the Chief of Staff, General Staff, officers and soldiers. You will hear the same from those in missions where the Army took part, both at home and abroad, seeing it as a respected and credible factor. Today, I also heard information about the exceptional regional cooperation as proof about the role of military diplomacy," said Siljanovska Davkova.

The President said Army members have her trust, adding "we can sleep peacefully".

"I believe in this leadership. I think all citizens have the same feeling and trust in the Macedonian Army will continue to thrive," said Siljanovska Davkova.
