Prosecutors file indictments against three persons, legal entity over Tetovo modular hospital fire
Tetovo, 27 July 2022 (MIA) – The Tetovo Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed indictments against three persons and one legal entity over last year’s fire in the modular COVID-19 hospital that killed 14 people. Two are charged with grave crimes against general safety, one for failure to act in line with health regulations during a pandemic, whereas the legal entity for causing general danger. Fourteen people died in the modular hospital fire on 8 September 2021. In October, following an expertise by the Ministry of Interior, the Prosecutor’s Office said the fire occurred as a result of an ignited extension cord. Expertise reports were provided by the MoI, Faculty of Technology, an expert, and investigators from the German Federal Criminal Police Office.
