Skopje, 25 June 2024 (MIA) - A wind park project of company Alcazar Energy worth over US$ 500 million will be official promoted in Skopje on Tuesday. Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Minister of Energy, Mining and Minerals Sanja Bozhinovska and Alcazar Energy co-founder and managing partner Daniel Calderon are set to address the event.

PM Mickoski said yesterday the investment will bring large benefits for the economy, the businesses and the citizens, bringing EUR 100 million in increased GDP revenues. He added that the wind park, set to be constructed between the municipalities of Karbinci, Shtip and Radovish, is an investment worth about EUR 400-450 million.

“This is an extremely important project for the energy portfolio of the country, which will significantly improve the energy sector. There is no special legislation, no guaranteed purchase per price guaranteed for the next 20-30 years, instead there is an investor investing 450 million euros and the country will get 100 million euros in increased revenues in the GDP. It will also enable the country to be energy balanced with the 20 percent of the total energy production,” said Mickoski.
