Kumanovo, 24 April 2024 (MIA) - ZNAM Movement’s presidential candidate Maksim Dimitrievski voted Wednesday in the first round of North Macedonia’s presidential elections.

After voting Dimitrievski wished the citizens successful elections and a victory for democracy in the country.

“The people should show up, in as big a number as possible and offer their support to those they believe deserves it. As a candidate, of course I will respect the will of the people, of all citizens of Macedonia. May today be a celebration of democracy in Macedonia and the Balkans,” Dimitrievski said.

According to the presidential candidate, the vote is proceeding smoothly with certain technical issues in some polling stations.

“Since we led an uneven campaign, especially in the area of media sponsorship where the self-described large parties hold the biggest portion of funds, I think the citizens recognize this, and they will voice their position in the end. I expect this to continue during the day, and everything will be clear once the votes are counted,” Dimitrievski said.
