President Siljanovska-Davkova, Speaker Gashi meet with TIKA Vice President Çevik

Skopje, 20 December 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Speaker Afrim Gashi held meetings Friday with the Vice President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Mahmut Çevik.
According to the President’s Office, Siljanovska-Davkova assessed that the Republic of Turkey has been a loyal friend and ally of the country since its independence, noting that the two countries enjoy excellent bilateral relations across all fields.
The activities implemented by TIKA in the country, according to the President, are concrete proof of the friendly relations between the two countries.
At the meeting, the President highlighted her commitment to further strengthening of bilateral relations and discussed plans for TIKA’s future projects in the country.
Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met with TIKA Vice President Çevik on Friday as well. According to Parliament, at the meeting, Gashi voiced gratitude for the wide array of activities implemented by TIKA in the country.
The Speaker welcomed the current cooperation with Turkey and voiced readiness for its further enhancement.
The TIKA Vice President stressed that North Macedonia is a very significant country for Turkey, which is why it supports the development of all social segments, investing in sustainable projects.
