President Siljanovska-Davkova receives credentials of new Albanian Ambassador Meidani

Skopje, 25 July 2024 (MIA) – President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received Thursday the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Albania, Denion Meidani.

During the credential presentation ceremony, Siljanovska-Davkova expressed satisfaction with the positive and continuous development trend in relations and cooperation between the two friendly countries as well as mutual willingness, readiness and commitment to intensify and enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, President’s office said in a press release.

“Euro-integration is a priority for both countries, as is the need to accelerate these processes in the upcoming period. The EU enlargement is vital for the region as a whole and will support the advancement of reforms and democratic processes. Both countries are committed to the European path and prepared to work together to achieve their ultimate and mutual goal – full EU membership,” President Siljanovska-Davkova stated, pointing out that both countries are NATO allies with a common vision and commitment to peace, stability, and economic prosperity both in the region and globally.

Ambassador Meidani, in his address at the ceremony, underscored that his mission is to tirelessly work on enhancing the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

“We are two nations united by a common goal: to create a future of progress, peace and promise. Together, we have walked the path of Euro-Atlantic integration, realizing that our destinies are intertwined. We can create together a beacon of stability and growth in the Balkans, an example of what is possible when unity and cooperation lead the way,” Ambassador Meidani said.

President Siljanovska-Davkova wished Ambassador Meidani success in his diplomatic mission.
