President Siljanovska-Davkova meets Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and members of new Gov’t 

Skopje, 24 June 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met Monday with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and the members of the newly elected Government, congratulating them on their election and wishing them success in their work to fulfill the country’s strategic goals, achieve economic progress and improve the living standard of the citizens, the President’s Office said in a press release.

At the meeting, the President voiced her expectation that the members of the new Government will implement their program honestly and responsibly, in line with the Macedonian national interests and the interests of the citizens.  

The new Government led by Hristijan Mickoski was elected on Sunday evening in Parliament, with 77 MPs voting “in favor” and 22 “against”. The Government is composed of VMRO-DPMNE, the parties from the Worth It coalition, and ZNAM. It is made up of 20 ministries, four more than before.

Fifteen members of the new government come from VMRO-DPMNE's coalition, six from Worth It, and two are from ZNAM.

Mickoski is the country’s 13th prime minister, leading the 20th government since its independence.
