Skopje, 13 January 2026 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova held a farewell meeting Tuesday with the outgoing Ambassador of the United States, Angela Aggeler.

On a post on her official Facebook profile, Siljanovska-Davkova wrote they reaffirmed that the two countries, as long-term allies, foster a close friendship resting on mutual respect and understanding. 

“Ambassador Aggeler congratulated me on my selection of two members for the Judicial Council, assessing the choice as a significant step towards reforming this important judicial body. On behalf of the Macedonian citizens, I thanked the Ambassador for her contribution to enhancing and strengthening the strategic partnership,” the President wrote. 

According to the President, at the meeting Aggeler stressed that even after leaving Skopje, she would continue to aid the country in which she spent a significant part of her career.
