President Siljanovska-Davkova holds phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky 

Rome, 23 May 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova held a phone call Thursday with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, her office said in a press release.

“In the call with President Zelensky, President Siljanovska-Davkova emphasized the country’s firm and unequivocal support for Ukraine over the unprovoked and unjustified Russian military aggression. Touching upon international law, the principles of the UN Charter and the Statute of the Council of Europe, the President said the Ukrainian people can continue to count on Macedonian partnership and friendship in dealing with the historic challenge that carries permanent and unforeseeable challenges,” the press release said.

According to the President's Office, Siljanovska-Davkova and Zelensky also exchanged opinions over the upcoming Summit hosted by Switzerland with the goal of creating a favorable framework for a comprehensive and permanent peace in Ukraine.

“The two presidents stressed the excellent relations between the two countries, characterized by identical values, mutual respect and understanding, strongly affirmed through continued cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. President Siljanovska-Davkova and President Zelensky reaffirmed the commitment to further mutual assistance in international diplomacy, with the goal of fulfilling the European aspirations of the two countries,” the press release added. 

During the phone call, President Zelensky invited President Siljanovska-Davkova to visit Ukraine.
