Skopje, 25 June 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova on Tuesday received the Kosovo Ambassador to the country, Florian Qehaja, in her office.

Views were shared about the ways to enhance bilateral and regional cooperation and the open and constructive dialogue on issues of joint and wider interest was welcomed.

"President Siljanovska Davkova expressed readiness to continue the excellent political dialogue at the highest level all the while expressing expectation that the positive trends in the development of the economic relations with Kosovo, our key trade partner, will resume in the future," said a press release.

In the context of European perspectives and the sharing of joint values, President Siljanovska Davkova voiced support for Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic aspirations and the participation in different forms of regional cooperation. She also expressed readiness for sharing of experiences in all areas in which the country has adequate expertise.

 Talks also focused on sharing of views on current developments in the region, the cooperation within regional initiatives and the ways to enhance cross border cooperation through EU funds, said the press release.
