Skopje, 2 July 2024 (MIA) - President Goprdana Siljanovska Davkova met Wednesday with the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Office in the country, Fatih Türkmenoğlu. Talks focused on cooperation with the EBRD so far, with Siljanovska Davkova expressing gratitude to the EBRD for the support and partnership in the past three decades, as one of the key and largest investors in the country and the region.  

Siljanovska Davkova pointed out that the EBRD, with its activities of support in extremely important areas through significant projects such as transport infrastructure, municipal infrastructure for the environment, energy and gasification, will contribute to strengthening regional integration, moving the Macedonian European integration process forward, as well as improving the quality of the life of the citizens, the President's Office said in a press release.

"Expressing satisfaction with the cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, especially in the field of infrastructure as a significant segment for the overall economic and social development, as well as the opportunities it offers for investing in renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, President Siljanovska Davkova noted that within her powers in economic policies she will be committed to promoting Macedonian interests through economic diplomacy and partnerships with international institutions such as the one with the EBRD," reads the press release.
