President Siljanovska Davkova meets Australian Ambassador Emery

Skopje, 3 July 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Wednesday with Australian Ambassador Daniel Emery, discussing bilateral relations that are set to reach the 30th anniversary next year.

Siljanovska Davkova expressed commitment for further enlargement of the cooperation in various fields, expecting that Australia will continue to be a partner and ally in the realization of the country's strategic goals and aspirations. In this regard, the President reaffirmed the Macedonian interest on opening of Australia's resident embassy in Skopje, her Office said in a press release.

Interlocutors also highlighted the important contribution of the Macedonian community in Australia to the country's economic development.

President Siljanovska Davkova said that the economic cooperation fails to reflect the excellent political ties, noting there is enormous unused potential to develop economic cooperation and increase trade exchange, reads the press release.
