President Siljanovska Davkova meets anti-discrimination commission members

Skopje, 17 July 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Wednesday with members of the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination.
The anti-discrimination commission members briefed President Siljanovska Davkova on ongoing activities, number of complaints submitted, decisions made, and the number of cases of discrimination identified so far. They also highlighted their commitment to transparency, accessibility, and proactivity in eliminating all types of discrimination and in the promotion of human rights, the President's Office said in a press release.
Stressing the importance of the anti-discrimination commission as an independent body, President Siljanovska Davkova expressed her unequivocal support for the activities to prevent and protect citizens against discrimination, as the basic prerequisite in building a democratic society.
Head of the Commission Igror Jadrovski, deputy chair Limko Bejzaroski and members Flora Kadriu, Dragana Drndarevska and Dushan Tomshikj also attended the meeting. ssh/nn/
