President Pendarovski receives credentials of new Georgian Ambassador

Skopje, 27 September 2023 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski received Wednesday the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia to North Macedonia, Otar Berdzenishvili.

At the ceremony, Pendarovski said he expects that the Ambassador, with his professional engagement, will contribute to the further improvement of the overall relations between the two countries and a more intensive economic cooperation, for which, he said, there is a solid foundation.

“Georgia is a friendly country with which we share similar priorities and views, and your commitment to the European and Euro-Atlantic integrations represents additional motive for an even more substantial cooperation in the coming period. Today, when Europe once again faces a tragic military conflict, the need for greater international cooperation and solidarity is perhaps more important than ever before. I believe that regardless of the size of our countries, North Macedonia and Georgia will continue to contribute to securing peace, democracy, human rights, and economic wellbeing, as universal values to which both countries are committed,” said President Pendarovski.

Ambassador Berdzenishvili voiced his readiness to contribute to the promotion and development of the friendly relations between the two countries.
