President Pendarovski meets with Commander of Hungarian Defence Forces
Skopje, 18 October 2021 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski hosted Monday Major General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, the Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces, who is paying a working visit to North Macedonia. Military cooperation between the two countries’ armies is a positive example of collaboration as full-fledged NATO members, it was noted at the meeting in which ways to improve and strengthen it in the future were also discussed, the President's office said in a press release. Pendarovski expressed gratitude to Hungary concerning the EU integration of North Macedonia, as well as the support concerning the country's NATO membership. Welcoming Hungary’s takeover of the KFOR command, he expressed North Macedonia’s readiness for cooperation, said the press release. Earlier, Major General Ruszin-Szendi met with Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, and Defence Minister Radmila Shekerinska. dk/ba/
