Skopje, 9 May 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met Monday with Azay Guliyev, Vice-President of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Special Representative for Southeast Europe, discussing bilateral cooperation and the preparations for North Macedonia’s OSCE Chairmanship in 2023. President Pendarovski referred to the significant role of the OSCE PA and its efforts to foster fruitful inter-parliamentary dialogue on issues related to OSCE’s commitments. On the Chairmanship preparations, Pendarovski said North Macedonia’s activities would focus on good will, dialogue and mutual understanding in the protection and promotion of OSCE’s principles and commitments. Priorities are to be aligned with OSCE’s agenda, national and regional priorities, while considering the global challenges and trends related to the organization’s work, the President’s Office said in a press release. Interlocutors also discussed developments in the broader region, in the context of the Russian aggression in Ukraine.
