President Pendarovski meets Ohrid Summer festival director
Skopje, 15 February 2023 (MIA) - President Stevo Pendarovski met Wednesday with 
director of the Ohrid Summer festival Natasha Popovikj. 
 
Popovikj, who attended the meeting alongside the festival's program selectors Bisera Chadlovska and Sanja Arsovska, briefed the President on the institution's future activities and the program for this year's 63rd edition of the festival, said Ohrid Summer in a press release.
  
"This year's festival edition will offer top-notch concerts and theater plays. The festival will present itself this year, thanks to the support from the President, as a large-scale cultural event that keeps improving and upgrading its high quality level of art," Popovikj said.
 
Ohrid Summer festval was founded in 1961 and is held every year between July 12 and August 20 in Ohrid, under the auspices of the President of North Macedonia, financially backed by the Ministry of Culture, the local self-government, as well as numerous sponsors and donors.
 
In 1994, the Ohrid Summer festival became a member of the European Festival Association, uniting 200 festivals and festival associations from 40 countries for the past 70 years. dk/nn/
