Skopje, 26 October 2021 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met Tuesday with members of the Joint Interdisciplinary Committee of Experts on historical, archaeological and educational matters with the Hellenic Republic. Committee members briefed Pendarovski on prior activities and the next meeting scheduled for November, the President’s Office said in a press release. The Joint Committee, established in accordance with Article 8 of the Prespa Agreement, considers the objective, scientific interpretation of historical events based on authentic, evidence-based and scientifically sound historical sources and archaeological findings. If deemed appropriate, the Committee shall revise any school textbooks and school auxiliary material such as maps, historical atlases, teaching guides, in use in each of the parties, in accordance with the principles and aims of UNESCO and the Council of Europe.
