President Pendarovski meets Kosovo PM Kurti
- President Stevo Pendarovski met with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Pristina on Thursday.
Skopje, 25 January 2024 (MIA) - President Stevo Pendarovski met with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Pristina on Thursday.
Pendarovski and Kurti discussed overall cooperation between the two countries, concurring that North Macedonia and Kosovo maintain positive and constructive bilateral relations and cooperation, with open dialogue at all levels. The two expressed interest to promote cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, the President's office said in a press release.
The talks exchanged views and information on current developments in the region, including the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, adds the press release. In that context, President Pendarovski pointed out that in conditions of multiplied crises and security challenges at a global level, finding solutions to open issues through dialogue and mutual understanding is of great importance for the stability of the Western Balkans.
"President Pendarovski reaffirmed support for Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic aspirations, pointing out that as NATO member, North Macedonia supports the Alliance's open door policy and makes an active contribution to supporting peace in Kosovo through participation in the KFOR mission," reads the press release.
