Skopje, 9 June 2023 (MIA) - President Pendarovski met Friday with Special Envoy of the President of Azerbaijan, Ambassador Elchin Amirbayov, in the context of North Macedonia's OSCE Chairmanship, highlighting the country's commitment for peaceful resolution of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, and expressing support for all efforts that lead to peace and initiatives that facilitate dialogue.

Interlocutors exchanged opinions on the bilateral relations between the countries and the possibility of promoting cooperation in all areas of common interest, the President's Office said in a press release.

President Pendarovski highlighted North Macedonia's interest in intensifying the economic cooperation with Azerbaijan, especially in the energy field.
