President Pendarovski holds bilateral meetings at MSC sidelines
Skopje, 18 February 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met Friday with Bernard Emie, Director of the General Directorate for External Security (DGSE), at the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC), discussing North Macedonia’s contribution to regional security as NATO member, and current security challenges in the broader area.
President Pendarovski also met with Jared Cohen, CEO of technology incubator Jigsaw, discussing the use of technology solutions in managing global challenges, noting that digitization is required for accelerated development and a strategic priority in the coming decade, President Pendarovski wrote in a Facebook post.
Meeting with Thomas Gomart, Director of the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI), tackled the priorities of the French EU Presidency, with a focus on enlargement with the Western Balkans and activities related to the Conference on the Future of Europe, processes in which experts of the renowned think tank are taking part.
“I am pleased by the series of initiatives undertaken by France that aim to strengthen its engagement in the Western Balkans, including the EU-WB Summit this June,” says Pendarovski.
