Skopje, 20 July 2021 (MIA) — During their farewell meeting on Tuesday, President Stevo Pendarovski and Israeli Ambassador to the country Dan Oryan confirmed that North Macedonia and Israel would continue nurturing close relations based on mutual trust and respect. Wishing Ambassador Oryan the best in his career as a diplomat, President Pendarovski thanked him for his commitment and dedicated ambassadorial work. The President also expressed gratitude for Israel’s support to North Macedonia ever since the country’s independence. In addition, Pendarovski pointed out opportunities to deepen bilateral economic ties in the future by developing cooperation in security, science and new technologies, agriculture, culture, and tourism. Other topics discussed at the meeting were the latest developments regarding the Covid-19 situation in both countries, the ongoing vaccination of citizens, and the consequences of the pandemic. mr/
