President Pendarovski at WEF’s Diplomatic Dialogue on Western Balkans session in Davos
- President Stevo Pendarovski is scheduled to speak at the "Diplomatic Dialogue on the Western Balkans" session Wednesday afternoon within the framework of the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
Skopje, 17 January 2024 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski is scheduled to speak at the "Diplomatic Dialogue on the Western Balkans" session Wednesday afternoon within the framework of the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
The discussion is anticipated to center on the prospects of European Union enlargement to Western Balkan countries, their readiness for implementing reforms, expectations from European elections, the improvement of economic integration in the region, and its growth, as reported by President Pendarovski's office.
Heads of states and governments, as well as ministers from the countries in the region and beyond Europe as well as representatives from the business sector and non-governmental organizations are expected to attend the session.
Among the confirmed speakers at the session are Mirek Dušek, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum; Borge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum; Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission; Aleksandar Vučić, President of Serbia; Milo Djukanovic, Prime Minister of Montenegro; Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Croatia; Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia; Albin Kurti, Prime Minister of Kosovo; Dorin Recean, Prime Minister of Moldova; Tanja Fajon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia; Alexander Schallenberg, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria; Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine; Luminița Odobescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania; Miroslav Lajčák, EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues; Borjana Krišto, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other high-ranking officials.
