Skopje, 3 August 2021 (MIA) – In a Facebook post on Tuesday President Stevo Pendarovski congratulated Army members, Kochani firefighters and other institutions that were involved in extinguishing wildfires on Monday, adding that the Army remains ready to intervene nationwide. “Congratulations to Army members, Kochani firefighters and other institutions that were involved in extinguishing wildfires on Monday. Kochani residents actively participated in assisting field units and helped avoid a far worse scenario. The situation will be closely monitored in the upcoming period to prevent future fires. In line with yesterday’s order to help battle wildfires, the Army remains ready to intervene nationwide,” read Pendarovski’s post.
