Skopje, 12 August 2022 (MIA) - To mark the International Youth Day-August 12, the Youth and Sports Agency and the National Youth Council of Macedonia will hand out awards for youth participation. President Stevo Pendarovski is set to address the awards presentation ceremony, which is to take place Friday at 7 pm at the President’s residence in Vodno. The Youth and Sports Agency director Naumche Mojsovski and the National Youth Council of Macedonia president Marija Krstevska are to present the awards. This year, awards will be given in three categories: individual (youth aged 15 to 29), informal youth groups (of at least three members) and youth organizations, organizations for young people and youth umbrella organizations. The award aims to recognize and valorize the work of young people in addressing various social issues. Annual award holders for youth participation are the actress Izabela Jakimova, in the individual category, One Can Youth, the informal youth group in the category of informal youth groups and the Go Green association, in the category of youth organizations, organizations for young people and youth umbrella organizations, President’s Office said in a press release. Moreover, a party will be organized at the Public Room, starting at 8:00 pm featuring performances by several popular bands and DJs.
