Skopje, 18 December 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski met Wednesday with Polish counterpart Donald Tusk at the sidelines of the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Brussels, discussing the possibility of unblocking the accession negotiations and the country's positions regarding these efforts.

"I met with my colleague, Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk. We discussed EU-related issues, the possibility of unblocking Union negotiations and our positions regarding these efforts. We exchanged opinions on the challenges the EU is facing, the Ukraine issue and using the opportunities for enhanced cooperation between the two friendly countries," PM Mickoski wrote in a Facebook post.

Poland is set to take over the EU Presidency on 1 January 2025.
