Position on opposition leader's call for closed session to be presented very soon: PM

Skopje, 4 October 2024 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Friday he will analyse the opposition leader’s call proposing that a closed session should be convened on the future steps in the country’s EU integration process.

However, he told reporters, Venko Filipche too will have to say something after he chose to propose it now.

“Starting today, we will present a concrete position regarding his proposal,” Mickoski said attending a military exercise at the Krivolak training ground.

On Thursday,  SDSM leader Venko Filipche called on the Prime Minister to convene a closed session over the future steps of the EU integration process.

If he doesn’t do it, the SDSM parliamentary group will initiate a closed session in which the ruling majority, most notably VMRO-DPMNE, should say whether it has any plan on how to resume the EU integration process, he said.
