Rome, 7 April 2023 (dpa/MIA) — Pope Francis will not take part in the celebration of the traditional Stations of the Cross at the Colosseum this Good Friday.
Due to "the great cold these days," the pope will not follow the Stations of the Cross in front of the Colosseum, the Holy See said.
Instead, he will join the prayers of the people who gather at the Colosseum from his residence in the Domus Sanctae Marthae in the Vatican.
The 86-year-old pontiff was released from hospital last week after almost three days of being treated for bronchitis.
