Skopje, 22 November 2021 (MIA) – Political scientist Ilber Sela and writer Fejzi Bojko are this year recipients of the 22 November Award, presented in Parliament annually on the occasion of Albanian Alphabet Day. Award recipients include people in the sphere of politics, culture and society that have contributed to advancing coexistence and mutual understanding among members of different communities and religions in the country. Thanking for the recognition, writer Bojko said that Albanian Alphabet Day is one of the greatest holidays for Albanians. “North Macedonia, where we have been living together for centuries, also marks this day. We have all realized that only just, progressive solution, having faced misunderstandings, is to know each other better, to be there for each other and to share one goal towards better living standards for everyone,” he stated. Over the decades, Fejzi Bojko has translated some 40 books from Macedonian into Albanian and six books from Albanian into Macedonian. He also writes poetry and children’s stories. Ilber Sela teaches at the Tetovo University since 2010 and also served as Euro-Atlantic affairs adviser at the Defence Ministry. He has been appointed as head of the agency for the application of languages.
