Polish President Duda arrives in Skopje
Skopje, 18 November 2021 (MIA) – Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived late Thursday for an official visit to North Macedonia, including meetings with host Stevo Pendarovski, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi and Prime Minister Zoran Zaev. Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani welcomed President Duda at the Skopje International Airport. “A warm welcome to Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, to North Macedonia. The visit reaffirms the traditional bilateral friendship that has been recently enhanced as NATO allies. We particularly appreciate the sincere support for the European integration of our country, an aspect that strengthens our friendly ties,” FM Osmani says in a Facebook post. On Friday, President Duda will be welcomed with highest state honors by counterpart Pendarovski, followed by their meeting and a joint press conference. Duda and Pendarovski will also deliver the opening remarks at the Polish-Macedonian Economic Forum later in the day. In addition, the Polish President will lay flowers at the grave of revolutionary Goce Delchev in the Skopje-based St.Spas church.
