Skopje, 6 December 2024 (MIA) - Police officers detained early Friday a 36-year-old Turkish national at the Demir Kapija-Skopje motorway after finding eight migrants from Syria, six of whom minors, in his vehicle with Skopje register plates.

The migrants have been transferred to the Gevgelija reception-transit center for further processing.

In a separate case, police officers detailed a 27-year-old Kosovo national near Gevglija late on Thursday.

Upon inspection of his vehicle, officers found four migrants - one from Syria and three from Egypt. The driver was detained, while the migrants have been transferred to the Gevgelija reception-transit center for further processing.
