Skopje, 18 July 2024 (MIA) – The Interior Ministry confirmed Thursday that police yesterday arrested a 47-year-old man with initials B.R. at the Jazhince border crossing while entering the country following an arrest warrant issued by Interpol Serbia.

He was handed over to the Tetovo police force for further proceedings.

Earlier, MIA’s Pristina correspondent reported that Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry was informed about the arrest of a Kosovo national by North Macedonia’s police acting on an arrest warrant issued by Serbia.

The Kosovo Foreign Ministry revealed the man’s identity as Blerim Ramadani, former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army in the Nerodime operative zone.

“Our ambassador in North Macedonia, Mr. Florian Qehaja has been intensively engaged in settling the case and we, as Foreign Ministry, are working with the Macedonian authorities to ensure prompt release of Mr. Ramadani,” said the Ministry in a press release.
