Skopje, 5 January 2026 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski is set to attend the promotion of a portion of the waste management equipment for municipalities in the Pelagonija and Southwest regions in Bitola on Monday.

The equipment, comprised of vehicles and waste bins, represents a segment of the contribution by the Government, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and international partners in the enhancement of the country's waste management system.

The equipment provided to municipal utility enterprises will facilitate and improve their operations, through increased coverage of the waste collection service in urban and rural environments, reducing illegal landfills and informal waste disposal, waste selection, and developing a system for full operation of the future landfill and regional waste management center in Novaci, the Government said in a press release.
