Skopje, 20 September 2022 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Tuesday will attend the opening of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York. The heads of state and government will be welcomed by UN Secretary General António Guterres, which will mark the start of the general debate of the 77th UN General Assembly, the government said. The theme of this year's general debate is "A watershed moment: transformative solutions to interlocking challenges" as part of the 77th General Assembly focusing on "Solutions through Solidarity, Sustainability and Science." Later in the day, PM Kovachevski is set to join his Western Balkan counterparts for a working lunch, organized by the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security and European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell.
