PM Glavchev says Bulgaria's position remains unchanged

Brussels, 19 December 2024 (MIA) - Yesterday, I told Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski that the sharp tone of statements, primarily coming from the Macedonian side, should go down, because as you know, Bulgaria doesn't say anything, said country's caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev in Brussels on Thursday.
"The language of hatred should stop. We can have any dialogue, but our position remains unchanged," said PM Glavchev.
According to him, although the Bulgarian position has not changed, it is good to discuss European relations in a European tone, befitting of an EU member-state and a candidate country.
Asked what language they used during the discussions, Glavchev said he spoke in Bulgarian and told reporters to ask the Macedonian PM "what language he speaks".
